Tom Kamm, Kamm Architecture, Project Architect

Tom Kamm has more than 30 years of experience in architecture, interiors, and stage design. He is the founding principal of Kamm Architecture and has designed more than 60 productions for theatre, opera, dance, and television. The Boston Museum of Art, the Paula Cooper Gallery in New York, Chicago’s I-Space Gallery, and the Prague Quadrennial have each exhibited his designs. His award-winning theatre work includes seven projects by visionary director Robert Wilson and the premiere of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America at the Eureka Theatre in San Francisco. He is an American Theatre Wing Award recipient and a Helen Hayes Award nominee. His stage designs were published in Live Design Magazine, the nation’s premier journal for performing arts design, as well as in Theatre Crafts Magazine. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Drama from University of California, San Diego. He is a former member of the faculty at the School of Architecture, University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign, where he also served on the Chancellor’s Design Advisory Board, reviewing designs for all campus projects.
